LIVE FROM MARS 2001: Mars Conference

Mars Virtual Teacher Training Conference
LIVE from Washington D.C.:

It's the Teachers' Workshop for Live from Mars!

... the Afternoon

When reassembled, teachers became students in several demonstrations of hands-on activities developed for the Mars Exploration Directorate by TERC and the MED team.

Whether estimating angles or handling "Mars" soil, all were very involved, even the young Haines-Stiles who helped to demo.

The balance of the day was spent becoming more acquainted with the Live from Mars project components (Video, Online and Hands-on activities) and the D.C. participants attended breakout groups in which teachers gathered to discuss issues and brainstorm ideas in each of these component areas.
