PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE - To MARS with MER

Are you sure the things we are sending to Mars aren't destroying the environment?
David
William B Green Middle School

We actually take great care in trying to protect the environment we are going to visit with something we call planetary protection. We have to sterilize all the parts of the rover to make sure we do not contaminate the environment there and treat it with great respect and care like we should be treating our own planet.
