Why do people want to be Mars scientists?

That's a very interesting question especially for me because I'm actually not a Mars scientist. I am a physicist but I'm serving as the science manager for this project. But I think anyone who's interested in discovering new things, or going to new places, or seeing things for the first time would want to be a Mars scientist certainly would want to be part of this project. Were going to a place on Mars that we've never been to before. We don't what we're going to see. We don't know what we're going to learn. We don't know what we're going to discover. That's the excitement of why we want to go. We want to be there to see it for the first time. So I think anyone who wants to do that should be a Mars scientist.
