POLAR-PALOOZA PodCast - Just in from the NPEO
(Click the RETURN Button to Return to Media Palooza)

This VIDEO Just In! The third of four video clips from the North Pole Environmental Observatory has just been received.

"Close, but no cigar..." Our PPZA videographer, Brian Igelman, has been hoping to get to the North Pole for many years -- just as the NPEO team hopes and plans to do each year of its ongoing research project. But this year, 2007, has seen unusually bad weather at 90 degrees North, and cracks in the Russian runway at Camp Borneo, 89 degrees N. The delays present the NPEO team with a series of choices about logistics and research, none very good. Which science projects will be sacrificed so that others may proceed?
