Hello Students!

Welcome to SCIENCE CONCEPTS IN CONTEXT. You're the first group to have the chance to see how researchers on location in the Amazon rainforest... or on the icy continent of Antarctica... or at NASA research centers... or working with NSF's mighty telescopes and observatories, apply key science concepts you'd otherwise only read about in textbooks. We hope you enjoy the experience.

Using this website, your teachers have the opportunity to select from a menu of hands-on activities which P2K believes will help you understand these key concepts. Both you and they are invited to use the RESOURCES we've reviewed and suggest here (check out the left hand navigation bar) to go further. Soon there'll be more links and interactive learning experiences linked to from STUDENTS' CORNER below. The school year's just begin, and this SCiC website will be growing in the coming months.

We hope you enjoy the experience of exploring science concepts in context: we've found exploring the world, from the Poles to the Equator, to bring you this opportunity has been both educational and lots of fun. That's what we hope you also discover as you watch the videos, and get your hands-on the experience of doing science! Good luck and all success as you work with SCiC.

Onwards and Upwards,
