“Home Front” includes those researchers—like the Smithsonian’s Tom Lovejoy—whose work may include field trips from time to time, but primarily takes place at computers, in offices or laboratories far from the forest. Without their work, raw data would not become “information” and then “knowledge”, nor could all the field work be supported and sustained. Look to see many of these researchers on-camera, answering e-mail, at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. during the live LFRF broadcasts.
