San Diego Museum of Natural HistoryOctober 19-21, 2007 - San Diego, California POLAR-PALOOZA San Diego will be a community-wide series of events involving the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center, the San Diego Museum of Natural History, and the Birch Aquarium (Scripps Institute of Oceanography.) Plans are for a Rotary Club briefing of business and community leaders on the Poles and climate change, with public presentations for general audiences and school-aged kids, a K-12 educator workshop, and "Family Days" at Fleet and Birch with hands-on activities enlivened with stories from - and personal interactions with - the PPZA travelers. Check back in April to find out exactly what's happening where and when. Bringing the Poles to San Diego should get POLAR-PALOOZA off and running in style - connecting The Ice with sun and sand!Image Courtesy Francois Gohier, SDNHM |
