The KAO has a vast network of computers, instruments, and electronics all tied together by great bundles of cables. Combine this with the hydrolics and electronics of the plane itself, and you could have quite a mess. Thus, the KAO is a split-level aircraft with an elevated floor to protect all of these connections.
