The KAO Cockpit

Welcome to the flight deck of the Kuiper Airborne Observatory. If everything goes as planned, it should be a boring flight--for the pilots at least. Despite being an incredible window to the universe, the KAO itself has very few actual windows. The coc kpit is the only part of the plane with windows larger than a grapefruit that offers a view of the Earth. So...

pull up a seat, kick back, and enjoy the view. If you really want to relax and you are a pilot or copilot, you can make use of the only bed onboard the KAO.

It may not look like a luxury hotel suite, but compared to where the rest of the crew sleeps, it's absolutely self-indulgent.
