The Airborne Data Acquisition Management Systems (ADAMS) flyer is the onboard
computer specialist for the KAO. He/she is in charge of computers--both state of
the art and turn of the century, in-air changes to the flight plan, insuring that
the astronome rs' computing needs are being met, and making sure that all of the
KAO's sensory data is being collected and recorded--or "housekeeping."
The ADAMS Operator's secondary duties include bugging the Telescope Operator, maintaining the electronics in the
Aft Electronics Rack, and double checking the fire fighting equipment and oxygen supply.
