QUESTION: Have there ever been any problems concerning the oxygen in the KAO? ANSWER from Terry Rager, Project Pilot, KAO on Oct.19,1995: No, I'm glad to say we never have had any problems with oxygen on the KAO!!! The primary reason we have oxygen onboard is in case of a pressurization leak. Fortunately the KAO has been leak free. However, we do use the oxygen when flying above 41,000 ft. The "time of useful consciousness" is so short at these altitudes (5-10 seconds) one person in each row of seats is required to be on oxygen. This is a precaution in case there is a depressurization, some people are already wearing their masks to help others get on oxygen.
