Hi Louise, If I read you right, you are looking for other creative ways to express understanding in science. I'd love it if you gave a try to (and then gave me feedback on) the Logo competition we are having for the NeurOn project on Quest -- http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/neuron/events/logo.html Rather than a write-up to express student understanding of the experiments to be flown on Neurolab (STS-90) Shuttle, students are asked to design a logo for the experiment that represents what will be learned from the studies of the brain and nervous system in space. Stephanie, by the way, is one of my favorite consultants (a student from Canada as you guessed), and she is a great supporter of Quest projects! Linda
