Rhonda, My students have been very active participants in the PTK moderated chat sessions and they have always made reference to these events in their end of year review. As for suggestions: I announce each scheduled chat and featured guest and have the students review his/her posted biosketch on the PTK web site. I then accept questions in advance for screening ( I have yet to exclude an interested student but this seems to improve the quality of the questions...sometimes suggesting some rephrasing ) This year the chats have been during our lunch so the participants "brown bag" it outside the computer lab or in my classroom. I have a sheet of chat "netiquette" which they read before going online and follow during the session. Since they are sometimes off to their next class before their questions are answered, I always download and print hard copies of the archived session for each participant ( also serve as nice souvenirs to show their parents ). Sandy usually has these posted within a few days of the session. ( Thanks Sandy....we know these take lots of work! ) Happy to help, Tim :) ...............................................................................
