Dear discuss-lfm members,

WOW... another exciting activity from Weather Worlds! Read on...

There are TWO WORLDS OF WEATHER -- ON EARTH AND MARS! WAITING FOR YOU!
Join with other classes to analyze and debate the data that has been
collected through the LIVE FROM MARS Weather Worlds activity. Can you find
some amazing facts hidden among the data? Do you see a pattern hidden
within the facts? Have you looked at a map with all the locations marked?
These are just a few of the activities that can be developed from the
collected data which is posted here.

WE INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PART OF THE ACTIVITY WHETHER (PUN
INTENDED) YOU ARE NEW TO WEATHER WORLDS OR PARTICIPATED IN EARLIER PHASES!!!

This is the plan:
Monday, November 24 to Tuesday, December 2, 8 EST--Contribute your
clues for a WEATHER WORLDS scavenger hunt USING THE EARTH AND/OR MARS
data provided. Challenge yourself, you students, and others (WHAT ABOUT
A TAKE-HOME TO INVOLVE PARENTS? EVERYONE'S INTERESTED IN WEATHER) to
find the hidden meaning in all of those numbers.

Thursday, December 4 to Friday, December 19--Take the WEATHER WORLDS CHALLENGE.
The challenge (WWC) will be available at three levels--elementary,
        middle, and high school.

Any class can join in the search activity. Previous participation in
Weather Worlds is not a requirement. The winners at each level will be
announced when we return from winter break. All participants will be
recognized ONLINE AND WITH A PRINTED CERTFICATE TO DISPLAY IN SCHOOL for
their involvement in the Weather World Challenge.

FOR GRAND PRIZE WINNERS AT EACH GRADE LEVEL THERE WILL BE A TRULY GRAND
PRIZE, RELATED TO LIVE FROM MARS AND NASA'S MISSIONS! PLEASE JOIN CLASSES
ACROSS THE NATION... IT'LL BE FUN AND INFORMATIVE!!!

PLEASE POST QUESTIONS AND SUGGESTIONS TO DEBATE-LFM
