Hi discussers all! Thanks Stephanie and Gail for your notes that reminded me to check in on this newest of our discuss lists. It gives me an opportunity to announce our recently launched project NeurOn which will follow the Neurolab mission (scheduled to launch April 2, l998) to study how the brain and nervous system develop and function in microgravity. Today, November 12 is our "Getting to Know You" Web chat - please join us from: http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/neuron/chats This list was created to provide a forum for teachers to discuss a wide variety of issues, concerns, teaching strategies, useful resources, project collaboration opportunities, and suggestions in implementing Quest's online projects. In the past our discussions have been project-specific, but we feel that much is lost in the "state of Quest's online projects" skills and issues that could benefit participants in all projects. If you're not familiar with the Quest's full family of projects, visit: http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/interactive To post a message to the list, send an email to discuss@quest.arc.nasa.gov If you prefer to keep up with this list via the Web (instead of through Email), please see this web address: http://quest/cgi-bin/lwgate/DISCUSS/archives/ Or you may wish to sign up for the digest version of discuss. This option allows you to receive all the day's mail in a single message. This helps keep mailbox traffic down, but makes it somewhat harder to reply to an individual message. Do this by sending a mail message to listmanager@quest.arc.nasa.gov. In the message body, write these words (on two separate lines): subscribe discuss-digest IMPORTANT: Please be sure to subscribe to the project-specific updates mail list as well as this discussion forum. The updates list can be subscribed to through the Teachers' Lounge page and provides all announcements, late-breaking news, and relevant posts pertaining to the project in which you are involved, while this list is for the purpose of discussion! We hope you enjoy participating in this discussion forum! Linda Conrad Quest Team Neuron Project Manager
