Dear LFM Folks:

"Yeah, Baby!" I can't B E L I E V E how cool it is!

You have GOT to see this!

The first high resolution Mars Global Surveyor MOC images
are now ONLINE!

http://barsoom.msss.com/mars/global_surveyor/camera/images/p3_p7_release/index.html

There are 2 of them, both with about 6 meters per pixel resolution. This
is better than anything from Viking. The best high resolution Viking images
were about 8 meters per pixel.

Soooo Coool! Both images show valleys-- some in Noctis Labyrinthus and
the other is Nirgal Vallis. Both show DUNES on the valley floors.
Beautiful dunes. (My specialty, so I am loving this very much!).

There is an MGS press conference today at 9 a.m. PDT. There will be
these MOC images, plus new stuff from TES, MOLA, etc.

Very exciting! COOL! I just about fell out of my chair when I first
saw these images! LOVELY!

If you can't catch the press conference, be sure to check the MGS
web sitelater in the day for all the press-released pictures.

Marvelous!

I LOVE THIS!
