Ginny Dexter is perfectly correct to request the above. We've not found
anything like this ourselves, so -- as promised in the WEATHER WORLDS
information -- LIVE FROM MARS is working to create it, incorporating
comments from JPL's Mars weather expert, Tim Scofield. Look for it >very
soon< by e-mail and on the Web.

But this week has been very full of Web activity: look at
http://quest.arc.nasa.gov/mars/virtual
for a Real Video "Virtual Tour" of the Ares Vallis site. You can find audio
and video comments about many of the rocks with all those funny names, and
more, from Matt Golombek, Joy Crisp and Ron Greeley. Expect more news about
this from Sandy Dueck in this week's Update.

And for those of you with faster connections and the latest browsers, we'll
soon be linking to the same content in a higher-end format on a site
contributed by Digital Equipment.

PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE and our partners at Quest have been working hard to
make the LIVE FROM MARS site and online experiences as exciting as time and
budget permit. So look for the WEATHER WORLDS backgrounder very soon.

Onwards and Upwards, to Mars, the rainforest, the North Pole, and beyond...
