Dear LFMers...or those of use who can not be at PlanetFest, When I received Theresa's message with the schedule of the Mars Pathfinder coverage over NASA TV, I knew I wanted to "make it happen" so I could be witness to all that was happening! So I decided to make sure my home computer had CU installed with everything upto date. My classroom computer has everything on it because that is where I used CUSeeMe. At home, I have not bothered with it much. I went to the Global School house homepage http://www.gsn.org/ and downloaded the latest version of CU from the Cornell site http://cu-seeme.cornell.edu/ Then I went to NASA TV coverage on CU-SeeMe and made sure that these reflectors were on my list. The US reflectors are: NASA Lewis Research Center 139.88.27.43 NASA TV Site 129.186.112.242 NASA Marshall Space Flight Center 128.158.172.85 NASA Ames Research Center 143.232.17.132 Kent State 131.123.5.1 Northwestern Univ 129.105.3.61 Right now, if you look at NASA TV you will have shots of the space shuttle. So if you are like me without satellite access to NASA Tv for the 4th, you might use your home computer to tune in to all the exciting events. Specification for CU Macintosh Versions MAC platform with 68020 processor or higher System 7 or higher 14.4 baud modem video digitizer card or Connectix Quickcam CU-Windows Version Basic requirements for Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups to send and receive video with audio are 486DX processor, a Windows Sockets compliant TCP/IP stack, a 256 color (8bit) video driver at any resolution, a video capture board that supports Microsoft Video for Windows, a video campera to plug in the video capture board, a Windows sound board (Sound Blaster or better), speakers, and a microphone--- CU- at the Mars Pathfinder Site-- Marilyn Wall John Wayland Elementary Bridgewater, VA
