Subject: Interactive views of lander surroundings

As I watched the pictures arriving from Mars on NASA TV, I was very impressed with the graphic displays which showed the camera direction with respect to the lander for each photo. It occurs to me that this would be a great tool for students on the net t o explore the terrain, if they could choose exactly where they wanted to look. And, a nice activity would be to give them a Viking image of Ares Valles and see if the students can figure out where the Pathfinder landed.
