Dear Mars Educators and Friends of MGS TES-- The Mars Pathfinder IMP team has some shirts for sale-- you can preview the artwork and order the shirts by looking at their web site: http://www.lpl.arizona.edu/~jdweinb/imp_shirt.html They cost $12 (you have to send check separately via snailmail) and come in a variety of colors and sizes (incl. children sizes). You will notice on the back of the shirt a list of weird names-- these are some of the kinds of minerals that IMP is well-suited to detect once it starts to image Mars. IMP can "see" in a portion of the visible and near-infrared spectrum. Most of the minerals listed are either clay minerals or iron-bearing minerals. Ken Edgett Arizona Mars K-12 Education Program
