This summer the spaceship Pathfinder will land on Mars on July. Instead of braking down with rockets, it will land by bouncing down on airbags surrounding the spacecraft. Students can simulate that landing by packing a raw egg so it will land safely when dropped one story onto concrete. Here at the NJ State Museum we intend to do that in our day camp. We have five one week sessions (ages6-9) beginning July 7. We would like to do this as a contest with other museums, classes, etc somewhere else in the U.S. Do you have a group that would like to participate?
