The Live From Mars Teacher's Guide (pages 10-16) provides
educators with Opening activiites including a pre-assessment
activity entitled "What Do I Know About Mars?" -- Activity
A.1 -- using the KWL approach (What Do I Know? What do I Want to Know?
and What have I Learned?) Students also create a portfolio for
displaying and organizing their work. Suggestions for contents
are detailed in the activity overview.

You can access this activity online via the Live From
Mars web site --- Teacher's Lounge, then select Learning Resources --
Teacher's Guide. Or you may simply copy and paste
this URL into your web browser!

Hope this helps!

PS: Thanks to Marilyn Wall and Rose Galizer for sharing
their *culminating* LFM activities. Sounds like your
schools both had super events.
