Dear Mars Educators--

Here's some news from the Arizona Mars K-12 Education Program:

(1) RED PLANET CONNECTION: THE SCIENCE RESOURCE FOR FUTURE MARTIANS
has completed its first publication year. The newsletter with
science and interdisciplinary activities was well received. We
are going to do it again for the 1997-98 school year. For more
    information, see our "brochure" at:

	http://esther.la.asu.edu/asu_tes/TES_Editor/EDUCATION/RPC/rpc_broch.html

(2) The next Arizona Mars K-12 Teacher Workshop will take place at
Arizona State University on September 13, 1997. This will be
the second day that Mars Global Surveyor is in orbit!

We encourage all LFM PTK folks in Arizona to come! If you are
outside Arizona but would like to come, you will be responsible
for all your own travel arrangements.

    See the announcement located at:

    http://esther.la.asu.edu/asu_tes/TES_Editor/EDUCATION/WORKSHOPS/Sept97_announce.html

(3) If you live in the Phoenix, Arizona, area, our K-12 project and the
Mars Global Surveyor TES project is slated to be featured again,
in a NEW STORY, on the ASU RESEARCH show. It will air
Tuesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m. on Channel 8 in the Phoenix area.

If you do not live in or near Phoenix, and are interested in the
ASU television shows and magazine article about our Mars projects,
please don't ask ME for copies. Contact:
