Hi all. We are the school that Ken is referrring to in his last post. We have Mars Day program which replaced our science fair. The seventh graders conduct different Martian projects in science class. One pair of students might be investigating the volcanoes on Mars while another is building a robot to explore Mars. In english class they are writing martian newspapers and in social studies they are conducting a town meeting. If you would come to the town meeting, you would see "Greens" arguing for more terraforming and "Reds" arguing for less. All of these activities come together on Mars Day. Students begin the day by presenting their projects to each other and our lower school kids. Later in the day they conduct a town meeting and we end the day with War Of The Worlds. If you would like more information please post, we are happy to share with other educators!! Tom Dubick Kim Lee
