Subject: Solar Flare and Europa

What great, exciting things happening all around us in the skies. I went outside last night (several times) to see if any northern lights were visible - in s.w. Idaho, but saw none. Did any one view a display last night and if so, at about what lat. and long. are you at. Also, the pictures of Europa are outstanding. I am going to try and find some sites and download shots of the ice floes and cap at the North Pole. I will then put together a lesson for my astronomy students on comparisions. This will also be a great time to bring in some more info about the richness of life under the ice at both poles. What a great time to be a teacher.
