I finally saw Hale Bopp this morning as well. It was awe inspiring as is Mars as it rises in the early evening. I could see Hale Bopp's tail with out binoculars but once I spotted it in the sky I viewed it through my binoculars and found it to be really awe inspiring. I live at about 44.5N, 118.5W and was visible when I first got up at 5:45 MST to when I left for work at about 6:35 this morning. I could see what appeared to be 2 to 3 jets coming from a very bright coma. It was easily spotted on the bottom "wing" of Cygnus in the NE sky. A real early morning treat for me. M. Freeman
