Dear Janet and discuss-lfm,
We have been invited down to Ames March 6 & 7 to run the Marsokod Rover
via telepresence in the desert.Through this discuss-lfm, Scott offered me
the use of his school library to house my students for the night!
Thank-You Scott! His school is within minutes of NASA's Ames Research.
Your name came up today as I called Scott to arrange the visit and he
said he met you at a conference. It is really fun to meet the people that
you "read" via this discuss group!
Picture a big yellow school bus leaving our school at five in the
morning to make the trip down to the big city. It should take us seven
hours to get to Ames.
My departmentalized science class which meet for only 50 minutes a
day will be busy planning this trip. So please continue to keep us in
PET even if our imput in minimal for awhile. I wish I could have them for
two hours a day for the next two weeks, so that I could do it all but I
know I have to "gear up" for NASA Ames and the Exploritorium.
I sure do appreciate this discuss group as through it I have been
able to make such wonderful connections for my students, like this trip.
A big thank-you for all involved! Ginny Dexter
