Teresa and all interested or are experienced in Red Rover Red Rover, I really want to participate and have received $1250 for funding. I am getting ready to order equipment and have a few questions I hope you or others can answer and/or help me with. 1. There were two Lego Dacta control systems, one called control set ($450) and the other the control lab ($625). As I recall the system recommended was $625 so is it the control lab or have the prices improved? (ha ha) 2. They only list the systems as Mac's or MS-DOS, but I didn't see one for windows. We have PC and windows. I suppose we can use MS-DOS, but I forsee it would be a bit messier. Right? Or not? 3. Since I really only have money for one set, and I have three science classes, does anyone have suggestions how to maximize use most effectively? Hopefully I'll get more money next year for more. 4. Finally I know right now I'm going to need lots of help figuring everything out so I hope there are people out there who can help. 5. Thank you Teresa for letting us know we need to contact the Planetary Society for the materials and lists of people participating and for membership. I didn't know that. 6. Oh and one more question/advice. Teresa suggested getting the Earth site. Which would be best, going ahead with getting one control set and the Mars Site this year with hopes of adding to it in the future, or going with the Earth Site? I will be presenting Live From Mars this Thurs. because I won an award for using technology in the classroom and thank all the PTK people for providing such a great opportunity to use technology in the classroom even though sometimes I'm still struggling with putting it all together. Somethimes you just have to plunge in and hope you'll figure it all out. Otherwise nothing would ever happen. Lucy Marske Sioux Center Middle School Sioux Center, IA 51250
