Hello everyone,

Just a short note to let everyone know that we're going to do the altimeter
simulation (the activity with the shoeboxes) today. I'm going to snap a few
black-and-white photos of the kids at work on their Martian landscape. I
might even make a mini-movie of them at work (AVI format).

We're also going to discuss the simulation coming up on December 18. We
have to start the classroom makeover today, too. Posters go up today, and I
need to move a portable sink into the simulator.

Over the course of the past few weeks, we have been working on activities in
the JPL "Mars Exploration" booklet and the PTK "Live From Mars" booklet. I
just haven't taken the time to announce to members of this list what we've
been doing.

Remember the BIG lithos of the Martian surface we were given? Well, those
lithos sure came in handy when we analyzed photos of the surface of Mars to
identify interesting features worthy of study.

Regards,
Chris
