Subject: One option for accessing Nov 19th Countdown program
Date: Mon, 09 Dec 1996 08:23:58 -0600
Dear discuss-lfm members, I am still anxiously awaiting word regarding inclusion of the November 19th LFM *Countdown* program in the December NASA-TV schedule. In the meantime here is a bit of news about the main PBS satellite carrying a re-feed on December 20th, 1-2pm (Eastern) Please note the following. This is only a feed on Telstar 401: it is NOT a guarantee that any individual PBS station will carry it. But some schools can access the signal directly. This version runs 57:30, and fixes some audio problems with the orignal 11/19 broadcast: it's the same as will air (at dates still TBD) on NASA-TV. >>>>>Satellite Coordinates for PBS main satellite: Ku-Band: PBS K-12 Teacher Resources Services Telstar 401, 97 degrees West, transponder 8, horizontal, 11915 Mhz, audio on 6.2 and 6.8 >From the contact person at PBS-- >>>>>We have scheduled the refeed of Live From Mars for Friday, December 20, 1996 from 1:00-2:00 pm on transponder 8.<<<<<<<<< Jan Wee
