Subject: P.E.T.: Posting of Proposals

Dear discuss-lfm members,
You might be a bit anxious about next week's BIG EVENT -- the
posting of your student's best Planet Explorer Toolkit Proposal.
I just want to ease any concerns that might be on your mind!
Some important info...
1) YES, we will be using a P.E.T. PROPOSAL FORM that I will
be posting to this list and the debate-lfm list (just to be
sure that I don't overlook anyone). This form has a template
for you to insert key bits of info.
2) YOU (or your students) will be posting your P.E.T. PROPOSAL
FORM to the debate-lfm forum *STARTING* next Tuesday and ending
December 20th.
It would make a great deal of sense if each class/participant would send
a BRIEF one paragraph INTRO message to the debate-lfm forum
so that we all get to know one another. Give your name, school,
info about your class, interesting bits of info about your
participation in the LFM project, etc.
BE SURE YOU ARE SUBSCRIBED TO THE DEBATE-LFM FORUM!!
I have been checking my P.E.T. registrations against the debate-lfm
list and have sent a message to several of you reminding you
to subscribe to the debate-lfm forum ASAP.
3) There are over 2,000 students represented by the classes/participants
registered. We will have at least 45 Proposals to mull over coming
in from a wide range of grade levels. Please do NOT comment or debate
the merits of the individual proposals UNTIL January 6th. We will
be engaged in a very lively discussion during January and will have
as our host scientist, Sanjay Limaye, to help us sort through all the
questions, concerns, and comments. Wow... this is going to be fun!
Sanjay will be posting an introductory journal and welcome message
in the coming days.
Look for the P.E.T. Proposal Form in the coming days!
