Like Dick and Barb and so many others, when I heard of Carl Sagan's death this morning, I could only think of him as "wandering out there among the stars" and perhaps seeing wonders we can barely imagine, Through his series Cosmos, Carl indeed a master storyteller took us his audience on "electronic" fieldtrips (as much as was possible in that time and era) to the outer edges of the universe and inspired us all with new ways of thinking and imagining the "cosmos" around us. And his effect on us has had a kind of a ripple effect, as we became inspired through his words and writings, we as teachers pass on that sense of wonder and marvel (and gee whiz) to our students. How fortunate we were to have experienced first hand this remarkable man of science. Marilyn Wall
