Carl Sagan's death is not untimely, owing to the nature of the disease he was laboring under. I have often conceived of death as a time when all the unknown answers suddenly become knowns, and that issues of space and time are resolved. I would like to think of Carl Sagan as having his first good look at other galaxies today. Besides peace, we can also believe there might be joy. I will think of Dr. Sagan as wandering out amongst the stars, "billions and billions" of them. He was a great influence on all teachers of science and math who followed his monumental book and series, "Cosmos". Dick
