Dear Marg and all, At 04:30 PM 11/27/96 GMT, you wrote: > >Is there any info out about whether or >not the networks are going to broadcast the >Rover launch on Sunday morning? The Pathfinder's countdown *had* been set to begin at midnight on Monday, December 2nd. I just heard (via CNN News) that the weather conditions in Florida are such that they now have postponed the launch until Tuesday, starting at midnight. Assuming the same NASA-TV coverage plan is effect countdown and launch coverage would be carried on NASA-TV beginning at midnight, Dec. 3rd with rebroadcasting at 5:30am (based on prior announcement posted to this list.) Hope you are able to set your VCR's to record the launch! My morning paper indicated a high level of anxiety among the scientists and engineers given the Russian Mars 96 problems. Donna Shirley will be on hand for launch. Her next journal should give us all an over-the-shoulder view of the events. Remember, she should be on Good Morning America tomorrow (MONDAY) morning!
