Thanks for the info Jan. this is good timing. I am just starting a
session on terretrial and extra-terrestrial weather, so Mars and the
HST are cooperating! Great pictures, too.
I was just in Boston for a TERC/LabNet meeting (great BBS for math
and science teachers, incidentally--http://labnet.terc.edu/labnet/ )
While I was there, I spoke to Chris Randall, who is instrumental in
making the great canyons and floods units about Mars. They are AT THE
PRINTERS and will be shipped within the month. Anyone intersted in
getting copies need to contact Chieck Diarra from NASA/JPL. He put on
the seminar we attended at NASA this summer and is handling the TERC
Mars supplies. THis is the e-mail address I have for him off the JPL
Mars Exploration page cheick.m.diarra@jpl.nasa.gov
They even have a cool 3-d model of the Valle Marineris which I covet!
I'm not sure how much it will cost, but doesn't hurt to ask! jkc
