Greetings Mars Educators---

Discovery Channel is advertising a show that will air December 1 at 8 p.m.
Eastern/Pacific called "DESTINATION MARS." It is about sending a human
crew to Mars. The adds make it it look pretty cool.

This show airs just HOURS before the scheduled lift-off of Mars Pathfinder,
which goes just after 2 a.m. Eastern on December 2.

Also, if you happen to be reading this message and you are in the Phoenix,
Arizona area, November 6 (tomorrow night) at 7:30 p.m., KAET, Channel
8, is running a 1/2 hour special about Arizona State University's
Mars Projects.

(sorry, out-of-state folks, I am too busy to make a copy for you).

We are getting psyched here for the Mars Global Surveyor launch. Most of
our MGS TES group is going to Florida to watch the launch. A few of us
are staying in Arizona to do an open house (we have several school groups
coming, plus TV and print media). It will be a fun day!

TO MARS!!!!!!!!!!
