Well... The only thing I can say is WOW!! The only things thAt can be
better would be for more time to process the information. Renee had some
great experiences.

Renee had 4 classes in her library watching the program live.
Her students are k-2 and the rest were the same age range. The students
were excited about the entire program. As the the program went on the
students started to ask questions about what htey had seen and indicate
that they would like to learn more about mars and the missions.

I on the other hand was in quite a different boat at the time of
the Broadcast. My class was in deed in front of a TV screen butr nothing
like LFM was on it. I was sure that 1st graders would not take the
porblem well. But we then have a discussion about what could have
happened to the program.
The next day I had a copy of the LFM program. We started from the
top and in 45 minutes we made it through 12 minutes of the program. It
has been said that 1st graders can't really understand science. That may
be true... But they understand adventure and exploration. It is and
adventure for them every time they wake up in the morning. Every time
they see the a new color in the sky, tree, or in a friends eye. I feel
honored to discover themselves and their new world... science comes along
for the ride.

Thanks PTK for the chance share LFM with my 1st graders.

Michael
