Dear discuss-lfm members, >From Cindy Porter: "Found a new CD called Mars Rover from Rom Tech. Access http://www.romt.com/Products/MarsRover to see for yourself." Cindy Porter shared this url with me and I wanted to pass it along to you. ROM TECH produces several space related software programs including Distant Sun, Mars Rover, Mars Explorer, and Visions of Mars. (these are not NASA produced products) Does anyone on this forum have these CD's (they are available for Mac and IBM) and have any information to share? I have to admit they caught my attention. I took a look at this site (had a time accessing as the pages loaded very slowly) and also found Vista Pro -- 3D Rendering Software (the same program used to create the images in Arthur C. Clarke's book, The Snows of Olympus). I found some Mars images (jpg) created with Vista Pro that are really neat also. You might want to take a look as well.I love combining computer art and science -- perhaps your art educators would find this an intriguing interdisciplinary tool and connection to Live From Mars. Does anyone in this forum have first hand experience with Vista Pro? I understand that the program is very engaging, not very pricey ($59.95), and lots of creative fun to be had. Have a good weekend all!
