Dear Marcella, A fun addition to the SS activity for next time... Have the visible from earth planets be attached to the sun with a string. Then have them orbit the sun at speeds approximating their real speeds. Let kids take turns being earth and observing the relative motions of the planets versus that of the "fixed stars" distant telephone poles or things like that. Really illustrates why the planets are "wanderers". jkc
