Dear discuss-lfm members,
If any of you have been working on Activity A.1 and would be
willing to share the "What do I Know About Mars? pre-assessment
activity results, please post the details. It would be interesting
for the PTK Staff to hear what students *Want To Know* about Mars
and what some of their individual questions are. See page 11 in the
Teacher's Guide. We would like to have you summarize the class'
responses and submit them for inclusion on the LFM web site.
You may submit all files to me directly and I will forward
these to Marc Siegel and Linda Conrad at NASA K-12 Internet
Initiative.
If you would like to share digital images of your students working
on the LFM activities (their logbooks, the P.E.T. activity, balloon
rockets, etc.) please submit those to me in GIF or JPEG format. We
will be placing appropriate images in the KidsCorner link on the
Live From Mars web site.
If you don't know how to convert images to this format or do not
have a graphics program, send the files in any format. We may not
use all images -- but we will select from your best ones. Be
sure to include a text JOURNAL describing the images and the
key information that should be shared.
I highly recommend the Paint Shop Pro program for working with images -
allows you to edit images, alter the file type, add text, etc. There
certainly are other excellent paint programs, but this is the
one that I found most useful. You can download this program

If you do not know how to attach a graphics file to your and send it,
please let me know. I have been helping others and can forward my
files on how to do this.
