I did my presentation to parents for Family Science. Not only are there no bright stars at night, we were also graced with a horrendous storm in the afternoon that left students at school because of flooding. So, instead of 67 parents signed up, I only had seventeen (and lots of students). The presentation went well; we went to the sights, I had practiced, I made additional slides of categories of volcanoes and had the parents do the labs Dr. Olson did, including the kitty litter. They loved it. They are enthusiastic about Mars; I invited them to do their own independent research and post their findings. The one surprise - not one of the parents knew how to use the protrator. Thanks, Jan, for sending a well organized package; I will return it asap. Marcella Marcella Dawson, Science Department St. Anne School 2120 Westheimer Houston, TX 77098 (713)526-3279
