Regarding Charlotte Stevens note:
> Check out a publication called Activities in Planetary Geology published
> by NASA. It is a rather old publication (1982), but it is not outdated.

The NEW and IMPROVED version of this document is due out ANY DAY NOW.
It has been in the works for several years-- it is mostly at the NASA HQ
end that things got slowed down. It was put together by a group under
Dr Ron Greeley at Arizona State University. The main contact, to get on
the list to receive the new edition AS SOON as it comes out, is
Kelly Bender: BENDER@ASUWS2.la.asu.edu

The new edition is called "Activities in Planetary Geology For the
Physical and Earth Sciences." They have materials that should work
for grade levels 4 though College. The book is divided into Five
Units, each with 3 to 5 activities:

Unit One- Introduction to Geologic Processes
		- Geologic events on Earth
		- Geologic landforms seen on aerial photos
		- Geologic landforms seen on stereoscopic photos

Unit Two- Cratering Activities
		- Impact cratering
		- comparative cratering
		- impact cratering on a rainy day

Unit 3- Planetary Atmospheres
		- coriolis effect
		- story systems (incl. outer planets like Jupiter)
		- wind tunnel

Unit 4- Planetary Surfaces
		- landform mapping on terrestrial planets
		- geologic features of Mars
		- geologic featurs of Venus
		- geologic features of outer planet satellites
		- planets in stereo

Unit 5- Geologic Mapping
		- introduction to photogeologic mapping
		- photogeologic mapping of the Moon
		- photogegologic mapping of Mars
