Ok Dave I'm just as rookie as you. We just purchased the basic dacta kit and the rover kit. The rover WILL NOT run on a mac so you need an IBM and assorted cables etc. Here's the request form I sent to my tech person. By the way all of it was purchased using Eisenhower money. I haven't a clue as to how much you would need for 5 classes. I believe it would equal the national debt to pay for it. This is what we bought so far: Materials from Lego Industries, 555 Taylor Rd., Enfield, CT 06083-1600 Item # 942 Starter Pack for the Macintosh $625.00 Item # 0067 DOS Software $82.50 Item # 9768 IBM Cable $26.00 (2) Item #9852 Chain Links $18.75 each Item # 9609 Resource Kit $200.00 The Planetary Society 65 North Catalina Ave. Pasadena, CA 91106-2301 Mars Site Kit $499.00 plus $12.00 shipping Now we must talk strategies here. There is no way that this is going to work with 5 classes.
