QUESTION:
Considering the "extremely low" temperatures Pathfinder and the rover will
experience, does the effect of superconductivity ever come into play?
Compensated for? Exploited?

I don't believe that any of the special materials which exhibit
superconductive properties at -90C are used on the Mars Pathfinder lander or
on the rover.
