Do you plan on any pictures of the sun from Mars, most likely oblique shots
to avoid sensory input to the imp or rover camera?

ANSWER from David Mittman on July 16, 1997:
The Imager for Mars Pathfinder (IMP) takes regular images of the sun to
assess both atmospheric dust content and water vapor content. There are
special "solar" filters in the IMP which allow sun images to be taken
without damaging the camera.
