QUESTION:
Will the tests conducted by the rover be able to distinguish between rocks
native to Mars and space debris such as meteorites or possibly an impact
melt that contains a combination of both?

The science instrument on the rover can only determine elemental abundances. 
As a result, it will difficult, if not impossible, to distinguish between
Mars rocks and meteorites.
