QUESTION:
Can you use Sojourner,  or focus the lander camera to take a closer, more
detailed image of the left or westerly peak so we can get a closer look at
it's geology?

ANSWER from David Mittman on July 25, 1997:
The twin peaks area was the focus of a recent "super resolution" image. In
the super resolution technique, multiple images are taken of a target area
using very slightly different camera pointing. The images are then combined
to yield a higher resolution picture. You can find the processed image on
the Mars Pathfinder web site.
