What will NASA do if the rover gets stuck?

NASA is doing lots of testing and design of rovers to prevent rovers from
getting stuck. One way to avoid the problem is to make sure the rover does
not go into the wrong kind of place. To make a smart rover we have been
developing autonomous systems that allow the rover to decide when it is in
danger and stop before it gets into trouble. This is especially important
on Mars where the time to send and receive a signal will be 10 minutes or
more.
