Will the Rover carry a U.S. flag to Mars?

The Mars Pathfinder lander has a picture of the flag of the United
States of America painted onto the white background of its main
structure, along with other insignia. Because of its small size,
Sojourner (the Mars Pathfinder rover) can not carry many such pictures
and is limited to a small patch identifying its manufacturer and serial
number, and a decal showing the names of the participating NASA
centers. Included on this second decal is a small depiction of the flag
of the United States of America.
