QUESTION:
What would happen if the Rover ran into water? Is it water proof?

ANSWER from Cheick Diarra on November 27, 1996:
We would be very surprised and delighted if the rover ran into water! 
Water can not exist in its liquid form on Mars.  The pressure on Mars would 
not allow it to happen.  So there was no need to waterproof the rover.
